Global Table Games & Game Protection Conference

THE DUAL CONFERENCES

The Global Table Games and Game Protection Conference are actually two conferences in one that at times merges both audiences together.

It is the first conference of its kind. There have been separate Table Games and Game Protection conferences heavily attended by casino executives who’ve traveled across the globe to attend them. Those casino Vice Presidents and Directors of Operations who wanted education for their staffs in both fields had to send their Table Games and Surveillance people on individual trips.

But now that unwieldy requirement has been waived! This conference is designed to offer the best education to those who want to learn both of these integral sectors of casino operations at one event, and as many functions of Table Games and Game Protection/Surveillance often merge, what better way to do so than to have a dual educational program running side by side and at times together?

Main Goals of the GTGC/GGPC

We dedicate the conference to the offering of the best educational measures possible in these critical fields of operations.

By bringing in the best speakers, who really know their stuff and have had tons of directly related experience, attendees are going to learn how to put gained knowledge into the betterment of their operations going forward. Notice the words “directly related experience.” The problem at many of these conferences is that the presenters are often at the fringes of Table Games and Game Protection and their presentations can be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. We will have none of that here. Just take a look at the presenters roster and you will see what we mean.

Of course we watch, we listen and we learn, but most importantly, we interact.

Some presenters will deliver individual presentations and then open up the forum to the attendees. Others will participate in lively panels of experts who will discuss and debate important topics and current issues in the Game Protection and Table Games sectors of casinos. The attendees will contribute to these panels as well. There will be conformity. There will be disagreements. AND, there will be arguments! Especially when we debate topics such as “Is Edge-Sorting Cheating?” Or, more to the point, “Is Phil Ivey’s and Sun Kelly’s version of Edge-Sorting Cheating?” Some people may answer yes to the first question and no to the second. Other issues we will debate are “How should we treat card-counters and advantage players?” Are we doing a good job of that? Are we strong enough? Are we too strong? And then we will debate some lighter issues such as “What’s the best cheating scam of all-time and why?” There you will see lots of diverse opinions! Our goal is that each and every attendee leaves the conference saying, “Boy, that was something different, entertaining and extremely productive!”

What we will do at the Conference

The Organization of the GTGC/GGPC

The main organizer of the event is Richard Marcus.

Those of you who might not have heard of him may be quite surprised that the conference organizer was one of the most notorious professional casino cheats in the history of legal casinos. In fact, for 25 years, no give or take! Richard’s first exposure to any conference of this kind was when he was the lead speaker at the 2007 World Game Protection Conference in Las Vegas. Since then, Richard has turned the tables not only on the industry but as well on himself when he began to work FOR the casinos as a game protection consultant and trainer. Today he consults to and trains casino Table Games and Surveillance staffs across the world and has spoken at many international gaming conferences including the G2E, the Aces Casino Summit in Singapore and the Peru Gaming Show in Lima. He has also conducted his own teaching seminars around the world.

ATGS is is open to all casino employees, casino regulatory agencies, Tribal commissions and people in the private sector who have a proven professional relationship with casinos relevant to Game Protection or Table Games operations.
